CRISPR/Cas-9: An Introduction to Genome Editing

Imagine being able to rewrite the code of life? Genome editing lets scientists do exactly that by changing DNA of an organism to cure diseases, improve crops, and create genetically improved CROPS! What I did was using a technique called CRISPR to edit a Grape Embryo and remove a gene called Phytoene Desaturase to introduce the capabilities of CRISPR/Cas-9. My solution was to show what CRISPR/Cas-9 can do, while this may have been an Introduction. CRISPR is rapidly advancing into a safe and Eco-friendly technique that can grow crops without many challenges! The Importance of my work is to show the world what CRISPR is capable of like I said this is to show how we can use CRISPR to make crops: Disease Repellent, Higher Production of Crops and more Eco-friendly compared to sprays like Pesticide. Here's how I would describe CRISPR: Precise Promising Our Future!
