SprayBot Vaporizer

Inhaling or coming in contact with sprayable chemicals can be hazardous. Moreover, discharging chemicals in poor weather brings additional risks, such as slipping on ice. SprayBot is a robot that can spray liquid pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers over an area. This prototype has also been designed to spray de-icing solutions over driveways and sidewalks to prevent the formation of ice. The SprayBot system utilizes a mobile application to wirelessly provide commands, sensor data, and target coordinates to the robot’s onboard computer. Once initiated, SprayBot then performs the required task. Homeowners usually depend upon favourable weather before spraying chemicals by hand. Equipped with a 4WD transmission, SprayBot can operate in poor weather as well as at all hours of the day and night. Engineered with modular hardware and software, this platform can readily accept new technologies in order to expand functionality as well as handle more complex spraying tasks.
