Steady Hand: An Innovation in Parkinson’s Tremor Relief

Today, Over ten million people around the world live with Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's Disease is an incurable neurological disorder that affects the areas of the brain that control movement. This disease can cause tremors, loss of muscle control. Steady Hand is an innovative device that targets these tremors and offers assistance to individuals during meals providing them with a greater sense of independence. Steady Hand is a spoon which consists of a self-stabilizing top which adjusts itself to tremor motion helping the spoon stay steady and minimizing spills. It also includes a emergency button that sends a message to an emergency contact's phone when pressed. This thoughtful combination of functionality and safety makes Steady Hand a practical tool that enhances independence and quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s Disease.
