Security and Safety
- The safety and security of all CWSF participants are taken seriously. Campus security operates 24/7, and there are protocols in place for any emergencies. If there is an incident involving your health and/or safety, please inform your delegate(s) or ambassador immediately.
- Finalists should not leave valuable or delicate display items (e.g., laptop, tablet, prototype, etc.) at their project display overnight.
- Everyone must always wear their nametags during the CWSF program. This is how we’ll be able to quickly identify those involved in the program when attending meals or when we’re in public spaces.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are available to participants in their residence. A pre-paid laundry card is required and can be purchased at the Residence Administration Building.
Prayer Room
A dedicated prayer room is available throughout the event for participants who wish to observe their religious practices in a quiet and private space. The prayer room is located in the Currie Center, Room 4-08, just off the Project Zone. This space reflects our commitment to inclusivity and respects the diverse religious beliefs of all participants.
Gender Neutral Bathrooms
Gender neutral washrooms are available throughout the campus for participants’ comfort and convenience. You’ll find these facilities located on Level 5 of the Currie Centre, between Section 11 and 12 in the Aitken University Centre (AUC), and on the 2nd level of the Student Union Building. These accessible spaces ensure that all CWSF participants can feel comfortable and included during their time on campus.
Finalist Lounges
- Most evenings throughout the week, finalists will have access to a lounge space for relaxing and socializing with new friends and playing games and activities – refer to the schedule for the times of these lounges.
